What orientation and location for your pergola?

Placing your pergola well changes everything: sunlight, comfort and daily use. Here's what to consider.

By orientation

• Facing south: maximum sun all day — the orientable louvers are ideal for dosing shade.
• West: perfect for late afternoons and dinners at sunset; consider a blind or louvered panel against the low sun.
• East: morning sun, afternoon shade — pleasant for breakfasts.

Attached or free-standing?

All Jopergola pergolas are free-standing: they install anywhere, even far from the house, without wall fixing or facade drilling. A real advantage if you rent or if no wall suits.

Access and support

Provide a flat, stable ground (terrace, slab) and sufficient access for delivery and installation. During the technical visit, we check these points together.

Wind and rain

Orient the slope for good water drainage and, in windy areas, add side louvered panels or doors for protection.
